What is Medigap?

Medicare pays for many, but not all health services and supplies. Medigap is additional health insurance that may be purchased to cover out of pocket medical expenses including your deductible and coinsurance.

Some Medigap plans also cover additional health services and supplies that are not covered by traditional Medicare. Additionally, some Medigap plans have a deductible of their own that must be met. For more information about choosing a Medigap plan, go to www.medicare.gov.
