Every year there will be an open enrollment period from November 15 through December 31. You may change Medicare Part D plans at that time, and will remain in the same plan for the next calendar year. If you are dual enrolled, then you are allowed to switch Medicare plans at any time, to be effective the following month. Also, if you move to an area that is not serviced by your current plan, then you will be allowed to switch to another plan.
