RETESTING POLICY

Medication Management Retesting Policy

A. There is a maximum of three retesting sessions allowed. If a student has not passed all parts of the course after three retesting sessions, he/she will be required to repeat the entire course as follows:

  1. If a student fails to complete any of the task areas 1.1 - 4.12 after three retesting sessions, the student will be required to repeat the Medication Management Part I and II classes. During the skills session of the course, students will only be required to test on the skills that they have not previously passed. Payment will be required each time one must retake Medication Management Part I and Part II.

  2. If a student fails to complete ONLY the diabetes module after three retesting attempts, he/she will only be required to repeat the diabetes module. The student will only be required to test on the skills that have not been passed during previous attempts. No further payment is required if a student has to sit through the diabetes module ONLY.

  3. If a student fails to complete any of the task areas 1.1 - 4.12 in addition to the diabetes module, the student will be required to repeat ALL parts of the course again (Medication Management Part I, Medication Management Part II, and the Diabetes Module). During the skills session of the course, students will only be required to test of the skills they have not previously passed. Payment will be required each time one must retake Medication Management Part I and Part II.

B. Students have 1 year to complete this course in its entirety. If it has been over a year since the student took the Medication Management Class Part I and Part II and/or the diabetes module and he/she has failed to pass any section of the course (regardless of times used to retest), the entire course must be repeated.

C. Students who fail to successfully complete all sections of the Medication Management Course (including the diabetes module) after 3 attempts of attending the entire class and retesting times with each attempt (3 allowed) will not be allowed to obtain a certificate through Richmond Apothecaries.
